Muay

Before Better Me, Muay described her life as difficult, shaped by very low self-confidence that touched most of what she did. The program's activities looked interesting and varied enough that she wanted to try it, though she didn't go in expecting it to change how she saw herself

What she says stayed with her most is a specific kind of courage: the willingness to ask questions and go looking for answers to things she was curious about, even when she'd never dared to before joining. That small shift opened space for something larger, discovering interests and goals of her own that she says she's since been able to actually pursue, not just imagine.

Muay is reading an English book.

She describes her life as having changed in visible ways since completing the program, rooted in becoming braver about asking questions and seeking things out for herself rather than staying quiet. That confidence carried her from factory work into her current role as a laundry attendant, a change she frames less as a career strategy and more as a natural result of no longer holding herself back.

What she's proudest of today is having the courage to be herself, even when that means standing apart from what she describes as society's standards. She calls Better Me an important part of what's helped her get there.
