Recognizing and Responding to Harassment with Confidence

Harassment can be difficult to identify in the moment. Knowing how to recognize different forms of harassment, consider personal safety, and find support can help people feel better prepared to respond.
On 27 November 2024, Pratthanadee Foundation delivered Recognizing and Responding to Harassment at Western Digital (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The training focused on raising awareness of harassment, strengthening participants’ personal safety and response skills, and explaining how to contact organizations and services that can provide support.
🛡️ Connecting Awareness with Real-Life Situations
Through creative, interactive activities, participants explored the topic in an engaging and practical way. They valued the knowledge and skills related to personal safety, and shared that what they learned could be applied in real situations. The activities also helped create a positive learning environment and increased participants’ confidence in handling unwanted situations.
Survey feedback was consistently positive. All respondents rated the training’s usefulness in one of the two highest categories, with 73% selecting the highest rating. For everyday application, 99% gave one of the two highest ratings. Among those who completed the survey, 89% were women, alongside men and gender-diverse participants.
📝 What Participants Would Like to See Next
Participants suggested allowing more time for learning and practice, with deeper coverage, varied exercises, and demonstrations. They also recommended offering both in-person and online participation options to provide greater flexibility.
With Western Digital’s support, the training helped participants build awareness, strengthen practical safety knowledge, and learn where they could turn for help.
