Better Me Connect Day: A New Safe Space for Women in Bangkok

Sep 28, 2025
1st Better Me Connect Day

Pratthanadee Foundation has launched Better Me Connect Day, a new monthly gathering designed to bring women together in a safe, supportive, and inspiring space. Led by Better Me participants and alumni, the program creates opportunities for women to share stories, spark ideas, and build confidence in an atmosphere of trust and encouragement.

📝 Why Better Me Connect?

Better Me Connect Day was created to:

  • Nurture a safe and welcoming space where women feel truly seen and supported.
  • Strengthen networks and friendships among participants, alumni, and new friends.
  • Build confidence, share practical knowledge, and foster collaboration.
  • Encourage women’s leadership by giving them the chance to design and lead activities.

Each session follows a simple but powerful format: ice-breaking & networking, a women-led activity, group sharing & reflection, and closing with next steps. The aim is to create continuity, empowerment, and an expanding network as women invite friends and colleagues to join.

✨ First Pilot: Sandwich & Share

On September 28, 2025, we held our first pilot session, Sandwich & Share, which welcomed around 20 women, including one who brought along a new friend. The activity was supported by two volunteers — one returning and one new — adding to the friendly, supportive atmosphere.

Participants learned three new sandwich recipes, gaining both fun and practical skills they can apply at home or even use to earn extra income. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive: women described the event as lively, enjoyable, and empowering, and many said they wanted to see activities like this more often.

The session also sparked connections and reflections: participants enjoyed meeting new friends, valued the encouragement from staff and volunteers, and expressed happiness in having a space where they felt supported.

👀 Looking Ahead

The success of the first pilot shows that hands-on, practical, and shareable activities resonate strongly with participants. Better Me Connect Day will continue monthly, with the hope of welcoming 20 or more new women each session, expanding the circle of connection and empowerment across Bangkok.
