Empowering Girls for the Future: A Journey of Self-Discovery in Ubon Ratchathani

In May 2025, Pratthanadee Foundation had the incredible opportunity to work with 63 Grade 9 girls at Khueang Nai Pittayakhom School in Ubon Ratchathani. Through our “Preparing for Success” workshop—supported by Taejai—we helped young girls explore who they are, understand their rights in the workplace, and plan their futures with confidence.
📊 Before the workshop
Many of these students were at a pivotal point in their education:
🔹 46% had never heard of financial aid options like student loans.
🔹 27% misunderstood the differences between academic and vocational tracks.
🔹 Over 40% had no idea how to overcome financial barriers despite wanting to continue their studies.
Our activities included a career exploration game, a self-reflection drawing of their future, and group discussions to explore different professions. This hands-on, blended approach made learning both engaging and meaningful.
📊 Results:
🔹 Average test scores rose from 53% to 70%.
🔹 95% of participants said they understand themselves better.
🔹 93% feel more confident in finding safe employment.
🔹 90% feel prepared to make future plans.
